Mary Sellers currently serves as Vice Chair and Chief Risk Officer of Bank of Hawaii and has been a member of the bank’s Executive Committee since 2005. She is currently responsible for overseeing the enterprise risk management framework designed to identify, assess and manage the Company’s strategic, credit, market and operational risks. Ms. Sellers joined the bank in 1987 in the Private Financial Services Group. She has worked in various capacities since then including management positions in Commercial and Retail Credit and Pacific Century Leasing. In 2000, Ms. Sellers was promoted to Senior Vice President in charge of Credit Review and subsequently, in 2002 promoted to Executive Vice President. In 2003, Ms. Sellers assumed responsibility for the Risk Management Division and in 2005, was promoted to Vice Chair and Chief Risk Officer.

Ms. Sellers began her banking career with Bank of Delaware (now PNC Delaware) in their commercial banking training program in 1981. Prior to joining Bank of Hawaii, she was an Assistant Vice President and National Accounts Officer handling commercial deposit and lending relationships for large corporations.

She received her bachelor of arts degree in management studies from Cedar Crest College in Allentown, PA and a master’s degree in economics from the University of Delaware in Newark, DE.

Ms. Sellers services on the Board of Directors of the Hawaii Economic Development Corporation, LDC and she is a trustee of St. Andrew’s Schools and the University of Hawaii Foundation.
