Alan May is the Executive Vice President and Chief People Officer for Hewlett Packard Enterprise.

Prior to joining Hewlett Packard Enterprise, Alan worked at The Boeing Company for eight years, where he most recently led HR for the company’s Commercial Airplanes division. Before joining The Boeing Company, Alan was the Chief Talent and Human Resources Officer for Cerberus Capital Management, a leading private equity firm based in New York. At Cerberus, he established an HR function for the firm and played an integral role in attracting top talent while leading the HR component of all due diligence and business integration efforts. Alan also held a number of senior HR and Business Integration roles over a 15-year career at PepsiCo, culminating with an assignment as Senior Vice President, Human Resources, for the rapidly growing Quaker, Tropicana and Gatorade divisions.

He graduated from the University of Illinois at Urbana-Champaign with a bachelor’s degree in economics and a master’s degree in industrial and labor relations.
