Sean N. Woodroffe is the Chief People, Culture and Communications Officer at Lincoln Financial Group, responsible for all aspects of human resources (HR), including talent management and development, employee experience, compensation, benefits and wellness, HR technology and operations, organizational and leadership effectiveness, HR business partnering, diversity, equity and inclusion and corporate responsibility. Prior to that, he served as the U.S. Head of HR and Associate Communications at Sun Life Financial U.S., and he has also held senior executive HR roles at the United Bank for Africa and Financial Guaranty Insurance Company. Woodroffe started his career and spent more than 18 years at Merrill Lynch, where he last served as First Vice President and Head of International HR, based in London. He also led HR for Merrill Lynch's Japan Wealth Management business unit, based in Tokyo.
Woodroffe is an active leader in the community and currently serves on the boards of Society for Human Resource Management (SHRM), Shaw University in Raleigh, North Carolina, the Peddie School in Hightstown, New Jersey and U.S. Soccer Foundation. He holds a bachelor’s degree in international relations from Shaw University.
