M. Leanne Lachman is president of Lachman Associates LLC, an independent real estate consultancy, and an Executive-in-Residence at Columbia Business School. Previously, Lachman spent four years as managing director of Lend Lease Real Estate Investments, a global institutional investment manager. Prior, she was a partner of Schroder Real Estate Associates, a boutique real estate manager. Her early career was with Real Estate Research Corporation, where she served as chief executive officer.
Lachman is a frequent speaker and her publications include “Generation Y: Shopping and Entertainment in the Digital Age” (2013), “Global Demographics 2009: Shaping Real Estate’s Future,” “Generation Y: America’s New Housing Wave” (2011), and “Generation Y: Shopping and Entertainment in the Digital Age” (2013). Lachman has published articles in Pension World, Real Estate Review, Journal of Housing, Growth and Change, Nation’s Cities, Assessment Digest, Mortgage Banker, Urban Land, National Real Estate Investor, Real Estate Today, Governmental Finance, Real Estate Forum and Investment Policy.
Lachman also serves on the board of directors of Lincoln Life & Annuity Company of New York, and she is a trustee of the Urban Land Institute and a governor of the Urban Land Foundation. She formerly served on the board of Directors of Liberty Property Trust. Lachman is listed in Who’s Who in America, Who’s Who in Finance and Industry and The World Who’s Who of Women.
Lachman received her Bachelor of Arts degree from the University of Southern California and was awarded her Master of Arts degree from Claremont Graduate University.
