Mr. Wright’s career in commercial banking spans over 43 years and includes assignments in the UK, India, Sri Lanka, West Africa, Canada, Hong Kong and the United States. He is a visiting Professor at Heriot-Watt University Business School and a past President of the Irish Institute of Bankers and a past Vice President of the Chartered Institute of Bankers in Scotland. Mr. Wright serves on the Boards of Directors of several private UK and overseas companies, including XMI International, Drivewise Trust and First Carbon International. Mr. Wright was educated at Daniel Stewart's College Edinburgh.
