Rob Ferguson currently serves as Chief Product Supply Officer | Executive Vice President, Coffee, Pet, and Away From Home. In this role, Rob’s oversight spans Company operations, distribution, supply chain, procurement, commodity hedging, quality assurance, research & development, and cost and productivity programs, inclusive of the Company’s Transformation Office. Rob also provides strategic leadership of the Company’s U.S. Retail Coffee, U.S. Retail Pet, and Away From Home businesses.
Rob has more than two decades of senior leadership experience in supply chain, operations excellence, margin improvement, and building productivity and design-to-value programs. He has established a proven track record of driving growth, innovation, and operational excellence across the consumer products industry.
Rob joined Smucker in 2015 through its acquisition of Big Heart Pet Brands, where he previously held strategy, operations, and supply chain leadership roles. Following the integration, Rob was named a Company Officer in 2016, serving as Senior Vice President, Supply Chain Services, taking on enterprise responsibilities in supply chain and operational excellence.
Over the past seven years, Rob has served as a Senior Vice President and General Manager, first over the U.S. Retail Pet Foods business and most recently over the U.S. Retail Coffee segment and procurement.
He was instrumental in reshaping the pet portfolio and strengthening the Company’s position in dog snacks and cat food. In U.S. Retail Coffee, Rob led the Company’s largest business segment, where he delivered record net sales, strengthened iconic brands, and accelerated demand‑creation efforts, alongside advancing the Company’s commodity‑hedging strategy.
Earlier in his career, Rob provided management consulting support at Booz Allen Hamilton and Diamond Management and Technology Consultants.
Rob holds a bachelor’s degree in economics and environmental science from Duke University, along with a Master of Business Administration from Duke’s Fuqua School of Business.
