Michael Morris is executive vice president and chief credit officer of Zions Bancorporation. Since 2013, Morris has overseen the credit risk function, which includes key areas such as credit quality for all loan portfolio segments, the credit approval process and policy, workouts and collections, risk grading, allowance for credit loss, and credit analytics. Morris joined Zions Bancorporation in 2007 as managing director, eal estate capital markets. In 2009, he transitioned to executive vice president of real estate banking, Zions First National Bank. Prior to joining Zions Bancorporation, he was managing director for JP Morgan Real Estate, president of Banc One Real Estate Corporation, and senior vice president for First Interstate Bank of California. Morris received a bachelor’s degree from the University of Utah and attended the Grazadio Graduate School of Business at Pepperdine University. He currently chairs the Salt Lake City Blue Ribbon Commission for Homelessness and Housing Affordability on behalf of the Mayor of Salt Lake City, Utah, and is a member of the Fisher Center for Real Estate, Haas Business School, Cal-Berkeley.
