Donna Morris currently serves as the executive vice president and chief people officer for Walmart, a position she’s held since February 2020. 

In her role with Walmart, Morris is responsible for attracting, retaining and developing talent. She also serves on the company’s executive committee. 

Morris joined Walmart from Adobe, where she spent 17 years, most recently as its chief human resources officer and executive vice president of employee experience, overseeing all components of the company’s real estate, security and HR operations. Morris started at Adobe as the vice president for global talent management, leading a handful of employee-friendly initiatives at the company, including simplifying the HR process and expanding Adobe’s family leave policy. 

Morris began her career in the human resources department of the city of Ottawa, continuing in that same vein of employee relations and people solutions over the next 20 years of her career. Additionally, Morris has served on a number of boards, including the Second Harvest Food Bank of Santa Clara and San Mateo Counties, the Adobe Foundation, SHRM and the advisory board for Foothill-De Anza Community College District. 

She is certified by the Society for Human Resource Management as a senior certified professional, as a senior HR professional and as a Canadian certified human resources professional. She holds an undergraduate degree in political science from Carleton University.
