Michelle Gullo was appointed Senior Vice President and Chief Human Resources Officer in November 2025. In this role, Gullo is responsible for setting the strategic direction for Corning's people and culture investments to continue the company's longstanding position as a premier employer globally. Her focus is on enhancing leadership capabilities, advancing succession planning, and ensuring alignment between HR initiatives and Corning’s strategic business goals, while also continuing to strengthen Corning’s position as an employer of choice by investing in employee engagement, development programs, and forward-looking talent strategies.

Gullo joined Corning in 2012 as the Finance Human Resources Manager, implementing several key employee engagement initiatives and streamlining the Talent Management process. In 2018, she took on additional responsibility as HR Generalist Lead for the corporate-sponsored LEAD talent development program focused on developing future leaders for Corning. In 2020, Gullo was appointed Division Vice President, Human Resources, Corporate Staffs, and Science, Technology & Engineering, and was elected Vice President in 2021. Prior to her current role, Gullo served as Vice President, HR Business Partnership, where she led HR business partnership teams across the company, ensuring that talent, organizational development, culture, and rewards strategies are fully aligned to Corning’s business goals, and are delivered with both global efficiency and local effectiveness.

Prior to Corning, Gullo was with IBM for 15 years. During that time, she held a wide variety of HR positions including HR Location Leader for one of IBM’s largest U.S. sites, where she was instrumental in working with IBM’s Government Relations team to help introduce new legislation relating to the US Fair Labor and Standards Act; Business Unit HR Leader supporting IBM’s Systems and Technology Group’s Technology Development Division. In this role, Gullo provided overall worldwide strategy for employees in U.S., China, India, Israel, and Germany labs.

Gullo holds a bachelor’s degree in business from Simmons College in Boston, Massachusetts.
