Olivier Bernhard Biography and Net Worth

On Co-Founder Olivier Bernhard has been the brand’s engine of athletic insight and performance innovation since the beginning. As a three-time world champion and 15-time Swiss champion in triathlon, his dream of a new running sensation that delivered soft landings and powerful takeoffs resulted in On’s first product and the now iconic “running on clouds” outsole.

Retiring from competitive sports, he teamed up with friends Caspar Coppetti and David Allemann to launch On and bring CloudTec® technology to the world in 2010. Since then, Olivier has been dedicated to finding ways to support athletes through superior innovative products and beyond. Building On’s athlete roster, he also helped establish the program that aims to redefine the traditional brand athlete partnership by providing athletes with holistic support in and out of competition. Today, he continues to lead the exploration and prototyping of groundbreaking technologies that push the boundaries of performance and elevate movement.

Olivier’s work draws on a lifelong commitment to running and more than a decade as a professional triathlete with an experimental approach to his sport. Born and raised in Switzerland, Olivier remains deeply connected to the Swiss sports community and supports various sports organizations beyond On. He still resides in his hometown of Heiden with his wife and continues to spend much of his time either enjoying the outdoors or traveling with his kids when they are home from university.
