Chirantan Jitendra “CJ” Desai is the chief product officer at ServiceNow, where he oversees products, platform, technology, and cloud infrastructure.

Desai has been with ServiceNow since 2016. Previously, he held multiple leadership roles at Dell EMC (formerly EMC Corporation), including president of the Emerging Technologies Division, where he directed engineering, marketing, business growth, new product launches, product management, and research and development.

Prior to EMC, Desai was in several leadership positions at Symantec Corporation, most recently serving as executive vice president of information management. He also worked in product development at both Pivotal and Oracle. Desai started his career at Oracle where he was a crucial part of the team that launched the company’s first cloud services.  

Desai has served on the board of directors for Zebra Technologies since 2015. 

He earned both his M.S. in computer science and his M.B.A. at the University of Illinois, Urbana-Champaign. Along with his wife, Hina, he established the Desai Computer Science Fellowship at his alma mater, with the purpose of assisting the university’s computer science department in recruitment and retention of female graduate students.
