He currently serves on the board of the Wolf Trap Foundation for the Performing Arts, and is the Chairman of the Alliance for Digital Innovation, an independent voice calling for greater use of commercial innovation and emerging technologies throughout government.

He also served 10 years on the Board of Directors of Project Rebirth, a nonprofit organization that serves veterans and first responders affected by tragic loss and celebrates the resiliency of the human spirit. In 2017, John accepted Trout Unlimited’s (TU) Corporate Conservation Partner designation on behalf of Telos for the company’s support of TU’s Veterans Service Partnership (VSP), a program that helps the veteran community find hope and healing through fly fishing and conservation.
